Hey everyone, recently bought a 2006 crv and it was not until i took it home that i realized a prominent noise coming from the engine bay, loudest near the manifold. I've been trying to source the sound for about a week now, im starting to tell myself to forget about it and just drive, but I cant help but want to get rid of it. I have checked for rod knock, I did the screw driver in the spark plug hole test and the pistons feel solid with no movement. I don't think it is piston slap either, the sound goes away when the engine revs a bit or if i put into park the sound goes away a bit and when i put a stick up to the engine and listen the sound does not get louder. I did my best to check the valve clearance, all the intake valves had slight drag with 0.008" gauge and all had slight drag with the 0.010" gauge on the exhaust, is this too tight? I also ran some injector cleaner through to see if that would help, but no change yet.
