I have a base model non ABS 2005 Civic and my master cylinder is bad. I went to a scrap yard and pulled a booster and master cylinder from another Civic of the same year but this one had ABS. Will this swap work okay on my car?

 

Don’t know for sure but I’d say go for it. Just don’t get all crazy hot ridding the car until you’re confident that it works.

 

Sometimes (like on integra rs vs integra gsr/ls) the abs car has different size stuff so no, but not because of the abs. I think with ex vs. lx/dx 7th gen civic there would be no difference on the booster and mc. Did you click around on rock auto or anyplace and compare the part numbers?

 

I didn’t cross check anything I just went to a scrap yard and pulled a booster and master cylinder from a car.

But I did bolt everything into my non ABS Civic and so far it looks good. Just waiting on some brake line to arrive from Honda and I’ll report back.
