I have had P0740 code since I purchased the car. Finally got around to doing some testing. Jacked it up and put it in gear and ran it up to 60mph. No voltage at the TCC. If I energize the TCC manually by connecting it to the battery positive it tries to stall the motor. So the TCC hydraulic circuit appears to be working but the electric circuit does not appear to be working. I am not sure when the TCC is supposed to be energized. My next test is to put a LED on it and see if the TCC receives power while driving. Has anyone seen this before or know what conditions the TCC is supposed to be energized under? Not sure if I should be looking for a bad wire from the computer to the TCC or a bad computer.
