Exedy Organic Clutch Review........
Clutch has been in now for 650 miles. When i first installed had to shorten the push-rod under the dash to make the grinding noise to stop b/c the throw was to long and the PP was being pushed into the Disc.
Pedal is shorter now than it was stock, but just slightly stiffer then the stock pedal was. NOw that I have 600+ miles I have tested to see how well it grabs.
It does grab a bit harder then the stock ITR Clutch. 3rd Gear spins with no problem. I am sure a lightened flywheel say Toda or other will make it feel as if it grabs a bit harder. I am using an re-surfaced Stock ITR Flywheel. I am happy with the clutch, but just want to see how long it lasts. Going to the track tomm so I will see how it performs, after it getting heated up a bit!
Exedy Organic = OK.

That is just how i would describe it. I have had mine in about 8 months or so with 3 track days and it has held up fine. No problems whatsoever. Good OEM replacement.

Is this the same exedy clutch that toda uses with thier flywheel combo?

I just got the same clutch for my hatchback and wanted to get as much info before I install the clutch.

If you use the OEM release bearing you do not have to adjust the pedal, can someone confirm this?
I've got ~10 track days and 25 drag launches and it feels just like new.
When you say shorten the push rod, do you mean adjust the push rod? You did not actually cut it or take any material off of it, right?

I was going to start a new thread to ask a few questions about the Exedy Organic Racing clutch, but I will just post my questions here. BTW, I have done several searches but I haven't found the answers to these questions.
1.) What are the benefits of the Exedy Organic Racing clutch vs. stock clutch? Is the performance better? Is the price better?
2.) I have only read one con to the Exedy so far and it is having to adjust the clutch push rod to prevent the throw out bearing from engaged to far, which causes a grinding noise. Are there any other cons?
3.) This questions is for those people that have been using the Exedy for awhile...more than a couple months. If you where to have do it again (ie. replace the clutch), would you go with the Exedy again or would you go with the stock clutch again?

I used a new OEM Bearing and still had to adjust the push rod, Just this small poblem for a nice OEM replacement for only $260, I am not going to complain!

I suspect the throwout and release bearing are the same thing just different terms. There are only 2 bearings to a clutch install: Throwout and Pilot (Goes IN the flywheel).

Yes Pilot Bearing goes in the Flyheel and is no different than the stock one. Throw-out bearing looks very diff though, i posted comparison pics before!

So what you are saying is there is no point in using the OEM release bearing over the Exedy release bearing.
Good info...I was going to purchase the OEM release bearing with my Exedy clutch combo.
