Rough Idle, looking for location of idle adjust screw
I am experiencing a fluctuating idle with the '89 Civic LX 4 dr that I just bought. It normally idles around 500 rpm, but will occasionally rise to the normal 750 and might drop to around 400. I pulled the cover off of the throttle body yesterday and sprayed some cleaning solution down there. The idle seems more consistent now, but is still in the 500-600 RPM range. I think i'll need to either pull the assembly completely off and clean it more completely and/or adjust the idle screw. Does anyone know where this screw is on this model? I looked around the TB and the cable linkages and can't seem to locate it. Do I need to pull the throttle body completely off for access? I think this is my problem, unless it is normal for these cars (This is my first Honda). The car just had a full tune-up except for the ignition rotor (which may or may not be new). My money is on the idle adjust screw.
Thanks
