Default Turbo H22a Sleeved Block Crack

Hi all

I have just removed my head to find a crack in my block next to where I've had darton sleeves installed. the car has been running fine for 2 years beside blowing a bit of smoke when first started (The reason I took head off) I assumed valve guides. Ive been running 28psi and made 525hp on hub dyno. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are not mixing coolant and oil, and there are no signs of pressurizing the block under boost... I wouldn't worry about it. You might put some silicone or epoxy in the damaged area to be on the safe side and limit fluid movement into the sleeve/socket area... but it is likely not a big deal. If you do try and seal off the area, make sure the deck is totally flat before you re install the head.

Superficial, run it. Nothing more than a thin/weak spot in the casting that was left over from machining to put the sleeves in.
