2003 Odyssey RPM issues
Hey all,
Working on a 2003 Honda Odyssey with RPM issues:
No matter if the vehicle is in park or drive the RPMs will get to 3,000 then flutter between 2700-3000, no issues with getting up to speed (will still go highway speeds). Sitting at idle the RPMs will be around 800 and will bounce between 500-800 RPM.
Things I have done:
IAC unplugged: Will idle around 1200 and stay, will not fluctuate. Still cannot accelerate past 3,000. Once plugged back in, idle drops again, hum starts in resonant chamber for intake, and will still not get past 3,000 rpm.
TPS: no change when plugged in or unplugged, still won’t go higher than 3,000 rpm.
MAP: no issues/changes either
To add: This issue did not occur until the power steering pressure hose was replaced. Almost immediately after it was completed this problem started.
TCS light on, and CEL for PFINH Signal failure (?).
I’m wanting to say the IAC is the culprit, but I just want to make sure.
