Getting smoke coming into the cabin, usually when going into VTEC. Pulled over once and noticed smoke seeping thru the headlights, open the hood and it looks like it’s coming from the oil pan gasket. And that oil is being dropped on the header.

So a oil pan gasket or possibly something else? I didn’t think that a bad one would drop as much oil or smoke like this.

Smoke will come in from the shift boot area.

Oh and no leaks up top it’s clean as a whistle, newer gaskets vtec, cam seal, valve cover, and dizzy o ring.

 

A tiny amount of oil will create a lot of smoke.

I say this based on I poured only a little oil into each cylinder and the plumes of smoke that came out the exhaust was staggering.

Check the oil filter. When you change the oil it likes to land right on the exhaust manifold. May have came loose or the o ring went. The black box on the back of the block, check it. Although that usually results in oil on the ground too.

 

I just looked again after driving and I saw old black soot looking stuff on the exhaust manifold right in between the pan.

Valve stem seals are bad, but this wouldn’t cause the bottom of the motor to smoke

 

Yeah you're right, thinking 'coming out the exhaust' smoke for some reason.
