unusual no start
when i bypass relay fuel works..but still no start...dash is lit up ..even after installing my good ecu..same thing happens....car hasnt started since i swapped it in...bought this 94 coupe after my 94 sedan was stolen....recovered the sedan and swapped engine and trans in....even installed engine harness because new civic had a wire or 2 cut and reconnected...another wierd thing=when i check ecu with paper clip technique..i only get SRS codes even though its disabled?? the CEL stays lit....with good engine harness,running engine,and mostly new parts..it should run...so is the relay causing this madness?..ive completly taken car apart to check wiring....other than alarm which i completely disconnected and removed from car everything looks good??..im lost..after having my car stolen..this is killin me....had this new coupe for 3 months and havent driven it...its clean as hell and worthy of the time spent....just need that one tip that im missing??..LOL
The number one reason for not starting after R&R engine is the ECU grounds on the thermostat.
Everything hooked up, and paper clip NOT in the test plug, turn the key on but don't crank. The CEL should come on for 2 seconds then go out. If it comes on and stays on, the ECU is not booting up.
