Default Hit and run

Man, someone backed into my car last week and drove off. My insurance won't cover it so looks like I'm stuck with the damages I had my Sol for about 8 years and was about to do some nice upgrades..

Trunk lid has dent, license plate panel is smashed, bumper and wing have new scratches. Side panel is slightly off but not shown in this pic

That’s really not too bad, I’ve been hit there harder.

You should just replace some of the panels. I’d start with the rear garnish and work my way.

Or honestly, I’d probably even leave it until I could find a rear panel in the same color which won’t be easy lol.

Why won't your insurance company cover the damage ??? Don't you have full coverage ???

Just liability. I filed a police report too. The worst thing is it happened at work and it's a private area so it was someone there.

I hear ya man. Did you end up fixing everything? I got an estimate from a body shop and they wanted around $2,500. Told him I can get the license plate panel for $100 and he said he would paint it for that price. So I'm going to order that later today. At this point, I'd put a black one on there if it was in good condition. lol My rear bumper already had those white marks when I got the car and it still has no dents. My trunk and side panels are what I'm really worried about. This sucks

Get the surveilance footage. By law they have to give it to you. Since it's your work, it should be easy. Even if it was at a mall. They have to give it to you.

No cameras in the parking lot. They have them everywhere else too. Go figure

Look for a car with damasge and red paint on it. That'll be enough to get you somewhere I think.

Thats funny, a repair shop quoted me that same price, and mine was way worse. Dented the trunk pretty good too. I eventually found a garnish panel that didn’t match the paint. it didn’t sit 100% flush because of the wreck but for keeping 2500 in my pocket I wasn’t too upset. I used a hammer and tried to pop out the dent on the trunk the best that I could and left it.

Yeah get the panel, now what side panels are you talking about? I only see the trunk, garnish and bumper shown.

Not JDM; they didn't have the rear fog. EDM LHD will have it, and on the correct side (driver's side).

Here's one with the Motegi badge, even. Price is good and they ship internationally. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Kennzeichenh...IAAOSwSudcSdPk
(Picture is upside down ... yes you'll need the rear fog lamp too, obvi)

I bought a ton of **** on ebay.de. Ran everything through a translator, and any seller enquiries also, esp. if they did not list the item with international shipping. My German was terrible but it worked well enough that I got lots of cool stuff. Power adjusting headlamps for a 5G Civic were (are?) suuuuuuper cheap (we're talking 10-20 Euros + ship) ... I laugh when I see that crap listed for $200+. Just gotta be careful they have all the tabs, etc.
