Default Falken Azenis and Spoon Springs

I just received my Falken Azenis and Spoon Springs. They finally came, ahhh i'm so happy now. I had the crappy neuspeeds on mine and it caused my tire to blow b/c of camber. I decided to buy the Spoon's b/c i heard some good things abou them, also my cousin with a Type-R has em and he says they're great.

I just want to add how much i hate the Michelins XGT V4's! I can't wait to put the Falkens and the Spoon's on.

the spoon springs will give you negative camber, too. it's not the neuspeed springs that should be directly to blame for the tire blowing out--you should get a camber kit and rotate the tires on a regular interval.

whats the drop with the Spoon springs?

Camber problems will always be there if you don't correct it with a camber kit. Did you get one of those as well?

According to this website:
http://php.indiana.edu/~bchang/Pics/...ate_Table.html
Drop on Spoon springs is only .79" (on ITR) but a recent thread on the Type R board mentioned that the drop might be a little more than advertised.

Also, what Neuspeed springs were you running before?
From what I've read, some of the Neuspeed springs are or were made by H&R while others are made by ???

Can you post a pic of your drop with this setup. Are you running stock shocks? Sounds like a nice setup.

yeah, it is b/c of the camber, but i'm blaming the neuspeed springs to make myself feel better.

it was weird though, the drop in the front was like around 2, and the it was higher in the back like 1.7 or so. the back camber was good and didn't need a kit, the front definately needed a kit; but the reason i didn't get the camber kit i just wanted new springs so no use wasting money on a camber kit for the neuspeeds right?

the camber on the spoons is not negative enough to cause a problem. the camber is barely negative so you dont' really need a kit. i guess you could still get a camber but i dont' see the need to though...

i am running stock shocks btw. you don't have to get new shocks if you're running the spoon springs, correct me if i'm wrong on this too. but i'm going to leave my stock shocks on for now till i save up enough to get koni yellows or something.

i'll give you guys my inputs on tires/springs after this weeked; i'm going up to the smokey mountains to test them on the twisties. i'll try to take pics also.

Just letting you know. This guy isn't too fond of Spoon springs and Koni shock combo. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=330939

if you wanna get a cheap shock upgrade i would upgrade to ITR shocks..
since the spoon springs are designed to work directly with the ITR shocks.

hmm...... yeah, i'm still deciding what to do......... i'm probably going to do more research on what shocks to get b/c if i shell out some money to get itr shocks, i might as well get some aftermarket ones that are better.
