Civic 2004 LX front crankshaft oil seal remove and replacement cost
Hi,
When I took my car(Honda civic 2004 LX 1.7L) which ran for 94K for oil change, mechanic told there is a little oil leakage there in engine and he given quote for remove and replacement of Front CrankShaft oil seal. He quoted 320$ for labor and Part cost is 15$.
Can you please let us know is that cost is reasonable?

I wouldn't worry about it much. I have a little oil here or there on my d17 with about 175k. Use the high mileage oil that can help. That does sound kinda pricey if you do decide to have it fixed. Maybe get another quote. But if it's not dripping out on the driveway or smoking I wouldn't spend the money.
These are usually done with timing belt and water pump service. Have you replaced the water pump and timing belt within the last 7 years?

Thanks for your response. Yes, It's not dripping out or not smoking. I just see oil spread around the engine.
