I have 91 civic std swapped with a b18a1 OBD0 that I use on occasional weekends mainly for autocross events. While driving it the fuel pump just cuts out and the car stalls. I have found that when this happens. If I unplug the fuel pump & then plug it back in. It somehow "resets" it, and the fuel pump resumes working. I start the car back up, and it's all good until it decides to do it again. The is no rhyme or reason to when it happens. Sometimes I go several trips and it doesn't happen, but then it sometimes happens several times in one trip. I have tried testing for power at the connector, but its difficult because I cant produce the issue at will. I have replaced the main relay, but the problem persists. Also the fuel pump was a brand new walbro 255lph unit that I installed about 5 years ago. Any ideas of what I should check next or possible causes?

 

When you say unplug and re-plug, are you talking about the connector on top of the hanger, or the connector for the fuel pump itself that resides inside the tank?

Has the plug been butchered in any way? It's possible from disconnecting and reconnecting several times the female spade has become bent and doesn't make good contact with the male spade.

Amazon is flush with cheap Chinese voltage displays - you could always wire one inline and then when it happens, have visibility to what your voltage is.
