Hi, The SRS light came on for my 2001 Honda Accord. I did a scan and it shows 3 permanent defaults with the following codes: 47-1, 63-1, 0-1. I have never seen DTC's such as these and I cannot locate as to what they refer. If anyone knows a website that explains what these codes refer to, or can define them for troubleshooting specifics, I would be most appreciated. Thanks!

 

I presume you turn to the forums as a last resort. It's likely you already learned that the scanner just presents whatever code it finds stored in the ECU, and that those three codes do, in fact, follow the SRS DTC format, yet...

1. they don't appear among the SRS codes listed in the 2001 Honda Service Manual; and that,
2. Autel doesn't help; and that,
3. AllData isn't useful; and that,
4. independent shops defer SRS issues to Honda service departments; and that,
5. Honda service departments won't discuss with SRS issues without seeing the vehicle.

Thus the forums tend to be a plaintive resort when the usual channels fail. In any case, by the time you read this, I 'spect you'll have tucked tail and taken your Accord to the dealership.

Do others a solid: when you get the definition of these cryptic SRS codes, please update your thread with that information.

I know the last post was almost 2 years ago but I've got exactly the same codes on my (European) 2000 Accord.

The 47-1 and 63-1 are related to the electric antenna that does not work anymore on my car (the labels are in French):


The last one has no label ("please refer to the service manuel").
