Lost on a P1259
Hey folks, new here. I am not a mechanic but I can youtube with the best of em and my google skills are strong.
I don't have a ton of money so I like to do whatever repairs I can do DIY. However, I can't seem to find an answer to my problem.
I have a 99 Accord ex throwing a p1259 code. I have already replaced the VTEC solenoid/oil pressure switch/sensor and got an oil change, drove for almost 100miles and still getting the error. I've tried resetting, disconnecting the battery, it keeps coming back. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm already past a 30day repair extension on my tags here in GA, so worse comes to worst I may even take it to Honda for diagnostics.

have you cleaned the screen for the solenoid? if not, give that a try first. it's not much trouble to do and it only costs your time and a few squirts of brake-parts cleaner.
check the wires also. a continuity test may help identify an issue. use your google skills to find the FSM procedure for this if you need it.

This seems like an electrical gremlin, particularly since you've swapped the two typical hardware culprits in this case.
Presuming you haven't done so already, whip out your Honda Service Manual along with your multimeter-with-continuity-checker doodad and start the t-shooting procedure for the relevant wiring.
