Default 2003 v6 accord tanny swap/replacement

The automatic transmission on my v6 accord is toast and the recall for them isnt available in Canada. From wht ive seen a J30A4 tranny from 2003-05 accords should fit but im not 100%. My plan was to buy one cash from an auto wrecker but i dont want to walk away with a tanny that potentially doesnt fit.

Do yourself a favor, buy a transmission from a 2006-2007 V6 Accord with a BAYA manufacturing code, that's the best engineering build of the 5-Speed automatics which will fit your engine.

Is the BAYA a direct fit or is there some parts changing from the old transmission?

Some sensors need to be swapped over, and it is best if you buy a new torque converter.

My 03 already has a BAYA. Is that unusual? I suppose it could have been replaced before.

If your 2003 Accord has a BAYA transmission, then someone has already replace your unit; the transmission wasn't built until 2005.

What is the best procedure for flushing the transmission cooling system? The old transmission is still in the car. Is there a acceptable method to flush the transmission cooling system only without flushing the entire system?

Are you sure that the BAYA wasn't made until 2005 I found a VIN plate on the transmission, the tenth digit Is a 3...I think that means it's a 2003...and there is a sticker on the transmission that says BAYA. Am I reading the VIN code properly?

I have been looking just about everywhere for a thread that explains which components need to be swaped from the 03 to the 07. The only thing that I have figured out for sure is that the Drive Plate/flexplate will need to be replaced because the Torque converter will not bolt up to it.
