Hi, i have a 99 accord with the f23 motor. Yesterday I installed a skunk2 racing 66mm throttle body. Stock is a 60mm. Install went smooth, had to buy another TPS sensor cause the original one cannot be removed. Got it installed and the idle bounces between 1900 and 1200. I open the throttle more and it’s fine, but it won’t have a smooth idle. Not sure why, anyone know if there are torque specs for the throttle body bolts?

 

Unless you bored the throttle body opening on the upper plenum for the new throttle body, you wasted your money.

The stock TPS can be removed. It involves turning the "rivets" into "screws" by making some slots in them with a hacksaw. Did you calibrate your new TPS correctly?

My initial thought for bouncing is a vacuum leak. Check your vacuum hoses and the gasket between the throttle body and flange. Using the wrong throttle body gasket will cause a vacuum leak too.

 

Yes before I installed the new TB, I calibrated the TPS sensor to 0.50V at closed and 4.50V at WOT. I removed and replaced the gasket between the TB and manifold. I was messing with the car a little bit and if I slowly close the throttle by hand, with the engine running, it won’t bounce but idles at 1900 RPM. Not really sure why it’s idling that high. If I then fully release the throttle, it will start bouncing.

 

Verify the gasket is the correct one for your application. There are different gaskets for different intake manifolds and some will create an "internal" vacuum leak if used for the wrong application. Just because it's the one they included doesn't mean it's the correct one for your application. If the gasket is correct, vacuum lines are installed correctly, etc etc then you may need to adjust the throttle stop and idle adjustment screw.

Have you tried setting the idle with the IACV unplugged?
