Icon5 Need help with 2001 Civic EX P0335 fix

A couple weeks ago, my car lurched while I was driving and the check engine light came on, so I took it to an auto parts store to have them read the code, which was a P0335. The car wouldn't rev above ~3000 rpm, and would stall occasionally.
I know the P0335 means that there's a malfunction with the crankshaft position sensor, and I replaced that. I took the car out for a test drive, but it lurched again and the light came back on. What else could have caused the car to throw that code?
TIA

Did you just perform the timing belt service? Sometimes coolant gets in the sensor connections when replacing the water pump or just unplugging will cause the code to pop up. Clean the harness out really well and let dry.

Use only OEM crank sensors.
