Hello folks!! Having one problem with my 93 Honda DelSol 1.6L VTEC. I've installed a Skunk2 70mm throttle body and the car runs like a taped ape!! One problem...I cannot get idle below 2300RPMs...eliminated IACV...obviously no FAST IDLE valve either...turned in idle screw all the way...TPS turned all the way to lowest idle point...adjusted set screw where its letting idle be at lowest w butterfly clo see ed all the way...sprayed either everywhere and no vacuum leaks...WHAT THE HELL...NOTHING???? PLEASE HELP!!!

 

The engine can't run without air. It is getting in somewhere. Does the throttle body mate to the manifold properly? Are you using the right gasket?

 

Thank you very much for resoonding!! It mates very well and I'm using the gasket Skunk2 sent with it...I'm baffled. I've sprayed everywhere possible w carb cleaner and ether and cannot get a leak response anywhere?? I just dont get it. Just hoping for a magic answer to such an open ended question and problem!! Urrrggg frustrating...Thanks again!!!

 

Any check engine lights??? What are your engine mods?

You have to calibrate your tps sensor if it wasn’t calibrated yet.

Check your map sensor with ohm reader, also it has a rubber o-ring that’s suppose to seal it from air leaks, make sure it’s not broken or slits.

That big of a throttle body your a/f map is probably thrown off too, you need to tune it.
