Icon6 Low fuel light thermistor question

I have a malfunctioning low fuel light, checked jumping the harness and light does work, does anybody know if the thermistor can be replaced/serviced? I do have a second unit and isn't working either.

How do you know it's malfunctioning? Have you run out of fuel completely? There is a service manual test; it is specific on how the thermistor is to be tested. You have done this?

Yes I have tested the bulb using the instructions and now it is confirm that thermistor is the problem.

But I cannot take out the sending unit. I tried twisting and everything but it doesn't came out.

It's a jdm one.

It can't be straighten more. I tried. Is it the minimum angle it has?

Oh ****, yeah you gotta wiggle it a ton to get it out. Twist and turn a bunch. But it will eventually come. I've done this on an 5th Gen Civic numerous times.

You don’t pull it out straight, you have to kinda keep twisting it as you bring it out. If i remember correctly it almost comes out upside down. It’s odd, and really only works one particular pattern.

So yes today it came with little bit of wiggle and only low light thermistor is bad. Other than that the float is working pretty good.
