Smoke from headers
Hey everyone, I’m in desperate need of help. Just picked up a 94 accord lx and I’m having lots of white smoke come out from the header area. I’ve changed the timing belt and all seals around that area, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, rocker arm/spark plug gaskets as well. I’ve attached a quick video of how it looks. Looking forward to any input and advice. Thanks
Anything out of the tailpipe? Looks like steam or similar to me. If you spilled or sprayed anything that could have gotten onto the exhaust manifold it will take awhile to burn off. Let it run for awhile and see if it clears up.
Nothing coming from the tailpipe, drained the coolant and it wasn’t oily, changed the oil and it wasn’t milky. It’s been smoking after letting it idle for 10 minutes. Not sure if I should let it idle longer
I'd let it run awhile. Maybe take it for a short drive to get some heat in it. Just keep an eye on it and check for leaks. Those cast iron manifolds are very porous and like to collect moisture/fluids. It even looks a little wet in a few spots in your video.
