Weird Tapping Noise when Accelerating
Been trying to figure out what could be causing this noise when accelerating in my 95 Del Sol Si. It doesn't happen when I am coasting, in Neutral, in Neutral and reeving.
Kinda lost on what to check. My next steps were to put the car on Jack stands and have someone put the car in gear and drive slowly to isolate the noise.
The car is pretty much stock except for an AEM intake.
My initial thoughts were maybe the Axles? I linked a video of the sound. Kinda sounds like a frog.

Interesting, so If I jacked it up and had someone slightly press the gas to get wheel spinning should probably put a load on engine. So yours made the same noise? its such a weird noise. lol
Not sure if that'll give enough load, but you can try it. And I'm not sure if it's the same noise but I've adjusted valves on many vehicles after hearing a tapity tap tap coming from the engine. usualy fixes the problem. If it isn't a VTEC I would toss some marvel mystery oil in with your next oil change.

So I jacked the front end up. Rotated both wheels and no noise. I grabbed the wheel at 12 and 6 oclock and no play there. Grabbed it at 9 and 3 and about .5 - 1.0" of play. This is on driver and passenger side.
