Default same problem with 93 Accord wipers

Hello. Thought I'd repost the issue with my 93 Accord regarding the wipers coming on by themselves, maybe someone has in idea. Now they seem to come on as soon as I turn the headlights on, then the wipers stop when I turn the lights off. The other early morning I needed both wipers and lights as it was still dark and raining. I drove a few kilometers then the green S light started flashing, the engine light came on, the speedo stopped working, the left green indicator light on the dash came on and the left indicator didn't work but the right one did. At the end of the trip when I turned the engine off and restarted it later in the day everything worked as normal. Except for the wipers coming when the lights are turned on. I've checked various earth wires and they seem to be ok unless I've missed some. Any ideas?

More than likely is a ground issue. I would pull them all off and clean them, and check the battery ground wire that goes to the battery. Dont forget there are some grounds in the dash.

thanks for the reply. I've checked the ground wires that I'm aware. I'd need a detailed drawing of where they all are . It's difficult to look properly under the dash, too many wires and other bits n pieces up there

Most of the body grounds will have multiple wires going into what looks like a whitish LEGO block that is then bolted to teh car with a 6mm(10mm headed) bolt.
If any corrosion has gotten in between the bolt, lead, or body then the circuits may backfeed on themselves and cause erratic behaviour.
G401 is tucked up by the driver side kick panel
G301 may also be a cause.

What happens if you put the HI beams on?

Did you ever look at the CB1 FSM?
There is a simple procedure to check the wiper switch functionality.

If the S light came on you will need to jumper the SCS connector over above the passenger side kick panel, two wire blue connector.
Jumper the connector.
Turn ignition to II(ON)
And observe codes from the S light D4 light or the CEL lamp itself.

Hello Mike. I've put a jumper across the wires and the code shows the speed sensor is faulty. I dont think that's the problem in this case. I think I've also found the G401 ground wire. There is actually 2 wires on the same bolt by the kick panel and it looks clean. I don't know where the lego type block you mentioned is. Can you pin point it?. The wipers come on as soon as I put the headlights on. The frustrating thing is that it doesn't do it all the time. I wish it would as it would make an electrical person's job easier to fix
