Need to Fix Motor Mounts on 94 Automatic -B Series DelSol-Suggestions(?)
Hi Peeps,
I need to fix my Motor Mounts on my 1994 DelSol SI (Automatic Trans, B Series motor).
I'm wondering:
-First of all, what are the best kind Motor Mounts to get?? Brand names?
(i heard some make your car shake more than others and make the ride bumpier. Also, I heard some make the car louder??
=Secondly-are they hard to do ???
I saw some You Tubes and it doesn't look too bad.....providing I can get the bolts loose. (Use plenty of WD40?)
I am also concerned about having to drop the motor a little(?)
( They said have a jack under the motor and let it drop just a little , then raise it enough to line the bolts up again.)
Does this sound correct? Is it over a beginners head? Which Brand do you suggest (prefer)???

nothing beats longevity other than oem, it may be expensive and you have a 94 which is old but I haven't seen anything beat them. any performance type mounts means vibration.

cheap as hell is my middle name so i just window welded
my old factory mounts. i did get a new rear mount and filled it
in too. knew it was gonna be a bitch to replace that one, dont want to go
there again. 8(
really pleased with the results, no annoying vibes whatsoever.
the front lower mounts were really trashed and causing
front end vibes at freeway speeds.
it took 2 tubes:
