Default Power loss

Is there anyone out there with a RSXS and experiencing power loss from around 5000rpm to 5500rpm? I have an AEM cold air intake and a spoon sports N1 exhaust
Help anyone

Thats a common occurance in the RSX-S and it is normal. If you get the Hondata chip it gets rid of the dip in the power curve that you see in the dynos at the rpms that you selected. Go to Hondata.com

Actually the Venom 400 module is a POS. It does nothing like the hondata product and is a big waste of money. There are lots of posts about how crappy this product is on clubrsx, basically it just makes your ECU think you are at WOT when you aren't. If you are actually at WOT it produce ZERO gains. Basically you should just buy a heavy set of boots and drive around to waste that gas mileage.

Hondata is completely different and doesn't waste your money.

The reason you lose power in that range is that the low speed cams are falling off their power curve...then you begin the power curve of the vtec cams at 5800. You have two power curves, one for each set of cams. Even with the Hondata upgrade, there is still a small dip just before vtec, now at 5200rpms. Nobody I know can replicate Hondata's dyno profile of NO dip just before vtec. I try to notice if mine does while I'm driving, but I can't feel it pull less in that range. All I know is we have several dynos on different cars with different mods and they all show a small dip. The Hondata upgrade is still WELL worth the price though.
