Default Something in my clutch is messed up and I'm not sure what

So I recently bought a 1995 Honda Accord EX and it won't shift into gear while running. It'll shift into gear while off but I haven't tried starting the car in gear yet. My initial thought was the clutch master or slave cylinder but I can't find and leaks and if it were, would the engine still be able to start or would the clutch pedal not engage causing it not to? So my second thought was a linkage between the master cylinder and the slave cylinder but I've been searching for hours online for some kind of diagram of the clutch and couldn't find anything so I don't even know what I'm looking for tbh. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like your clutch disc popped a spring.
