un- tapped vtec head does it suppose to look like this?

Default un- tapped vtec head does it suppose to look like this?

The head was on an LSVtec setup and I am putting the head back on to a gsr block.
I pull the tap out and wanting to verify if it looks rights in the pic.

Looks OK from those pics... blow compressed air into that hole with the VTEC assembly removed and see if you get high pressure flow through the hole in the middle of the VTEC mounting surface. If so, you are good.
