Seat gurus: for those of you that are familiar taking apart civic/integra seats, would I be able to use the upper portion of our seats (i.e., bolster, back, and headrest) from the passenger side and swap them over to the driver side so that I can fix a bolster wear issue? I am thinking of purchasing a single passenger seat in order to fix the following problem:
Update: it looks like it might be possible to swap the foam and seat cover from the passenger's side to the driver's side using the driver's side seat framing. Looks like I'll be giving this a shot in the next couple months.
As long as they're built symmetrically, there's usually not a problem swapping sides.
Perfect. This should be a satisfying repair. Not only have I never taken a seat apart, but it will make a world of difference to not have a hole in the driver's seat. I'm surprised more people don't do this with symmetrical seats.
