Default Would you guys be interested in these for the EGs

Guys, I'm making some custom parts for the EFs and would eventually like to branch out and make them for the EG/EK as well. The first is a cup holder that replaces the front of the console. The second is an overhead console with lighting options (dome or reading and ambient night light) and cubby for glasses. Here are some prototype pictures for the EF ones I'm working on. I'm also looking for ideas on things to add/integrate into these before I get the final revisions done.

I would love to see in an EG the area under the parking break turned into a bowl, like on an Integra, to hold knick-knacks! Hope that makes sense..

I'd love to build something that big, but right now I'm limited to about 8 inches square on 3d printing.

how to you propose fastening the overhead console?
what lighting options?

I had a thief try to steal my integra lights but couldn't, so he f'd up my headliner for his troubles.
this may cover that up and work to mount the lights properly.

The over head console will mount like a drop down screen, I'll probably have a plate on the back and it will sandwich the headliner between them. I'm looking at LED lights, or at least the holes for them and you guys can install and wire them how you want if you want different colors or whatever.

Sent v4 off to the printers today. It has factory screw holes, lips to help it stay put when attached to the factory console. It should also clear the automatic shifter cable. I still have to test on an RT4WD wagon setup, but I think those consoles are longer in the front, so may have to make a whole different one for that. Should hopefully have this back Friday to post install pictures.

A replacement design for the EG cupholder would be a blessing. That is probably the one real complaint of the stock USDM/CDM 92-95 civic is that bloody cup colder. Good for a can of soda pop but that is about it.

So far there is quite a bit of clearance - my knuckles won't hit an xl fountain drink.

That's might thought as well. All my friends that have EG always have broken cup holders, or they hold pretty much nothing. Now that my EF one is pretty much done I'm going to start taking measurements for an EG replacement.

If I had an EG, I’d be hitting you up for those cup holders! Great idea!

let me know if you need any measurements from a unbroken cup holder or anything in the area. (I'm still interested in both ideas)

Will do. I'm going to see if I can get one from the junkyard this weekend - they're only like $5 here.
