Default 88 CRX Gearbox swap

i have put another L3 gearbox and d16a8 motor in my crx, problem is myy cv's/ axle have 25 teeth on the motor side where the new gearbox needs the bigger axle with 27 teeth (i think the motor and box came out of a 90-93 integra), any simple fix to this problem? will i have to swap the diff out of each box or are there new cv's out there that work with this box and car?
cheers for any help

Is it possible to swap the inner CV joint ends? It would double up on axles you need to buy, but might be easier than swapping diffs.
Just a thought, I don't know for sure if that would work.

the L3 transmission you have is made to work with an intermediate axle shaft which bolts to the back of the engine on the driver's side - do you have the intermediate shaft? - if so, you use 90-93 Integra axles, unless your CRX is the HF model, in which case you would need to swap the knuckles/hubs for ones from 88-91 CRX/Civic DX or Si models and then use the 90-93 Integra axles - if you don't have the intermediate shaft, you have kind of a problem as those shafts are hard to find - only the shafts from the 88-91 JDM CRX/Civic Si with the DOHC ZC engine or the 88-91 European cars with the D16A8, D16A9 or D16Z5 engines will work - no other shaft will work

Yes i do have the intermediate shaft that bolts to the motor i just took it out as i thought i didn't need it, so the length of the axles are interchangable with the integra and crx? thanks for the help, i will go out and buy some integra axles

another quick question, i found that the integra l3 box have different gear ratios to the stock crx box, are they geared down for more acceleration and shorter gears or the other way around?

not sure what transmission you originally had - see attached for the different L3 gear ratios - what you have now
should be the same as the JDM ZC - the best option is the ZC with the Si 4.25 final drive
