Default Sunroof Help!

Hello everyone, I have a 95 sedan with a sunroof and I believe the driver side drain is fine but the passenger side is draining straight into the floorboard! Has anyone dealt with this or possibly know how I can fix it? Would it be an option to block it off and just use the driver side drain? Thanks for any help.

Not sure how similar these are to the coupe/hatchback assembly, but you could try taking your passenger fender off and fishing a wire hanger or similar device up the drain tube to see if it is just clogged. The effort you would make to block it off would be just as well spent unclogging, or replacing the aged drain parts.

Above is recommended. I also suggest feeling around in the passenger footwell for the tube as it is possible it is no longer draining to the outside.

I will definitely do that. I did take a 4 foot piece of wire and fed from the top side till there was only about 2 inches left and went searching for it and there it was, in the floorboard. Did the same on the driver side and got to a point where it wouldn't go any further and couldn't see it anywhere. But I appreciate the help and will let you know what I find

I don't think its in the fender because it runs inside the pillar. You might have to remove the dash to get access to where the other end is though.

For my sisters db7 I had to get extra clear line from the hardware store, I try to get the same ID, and a fitting to extend the inner tube a bit. It wasn't long so to fix it this is what I did. It now has some slack and I don't have to worry about it falling out again.

The outlet of the drain tube is behind the front fenders...

That wire coming out into the footwell indicates exactly the problem - the tube is press-fit into a rubber grommet (that doubles as a short extension of the drain tube, but it's easier to think of it as a grommet) that is located in the frame between the blower motor and the rear part of the front fender (between the wheel well and the door). I'd suggest running that wire down the tube into the footwell again, then run your hand up the wire to find the end of the tube. Then you can feel around for the grommet and insert the tube back into it. With the door open you may be able to spy where the grommet/drain tube mounts to get an idea where to look for it. Try all this before the annoying task of removing the fender, to save a bit of time and effort.

I will be looking into the issue today, but I was wondering if anybody knows where to get the replacement trim that goes around the windshield? Had the windshield replaced cause it was originally thought to be the culprit and the trim pieces are no good

Its behind the fender but where the tub goes into that drain is hidden by the dash. It might be hard to reach 'up' to get your one hand in there to fennagle it inside the rubber drain.

^^^ I just found that out. I pulled the glove box out and the trim piece on the pillar and you can't see anything. Might could pull down the whole piece where the blower motor is and maybe then. I really hope the dash doesn't have to come out but it ruined my carpet and the z6 started knocking and I'm in the planning stage of doing a kswap instead of rebuilding so I guess I have plenty of time to find a fix.😒
