Default Civic EX broken hub

i have a 90 civic EX and like a dumbass I tried to press the hub bearing out without removing the retaining ring. The like 1/8 thick end of the knuckle just broke off as the bearing came out. Does anyone know if those knuckles are cast iron? I think I’m gonna try to build up weld on the end and re machine it out. Idk what to do because ex knuckles are almost impossible to find.

Do you have any pictures? Maybe you could bore the center out and machine a sleeve with the retaining ring groove in it to go back in?

I actually came up with an idea. i think im going to cut out a circular ringa little smaller than the width of the hole at about 1/8 thick and bolt it to the face of the knuckle where the bearing goes in. I'll use the ring in place of a retaining clip. this way i wont risk cracking it more by welding it.

This is what I ended up doing. I grinded off the surface of the knuckle flush with the edge where the bearing sits. Then I made a plate to go over it. The lip comes just over the edge of the outer bearing race eliminating the need for a snap ring. We’ll see how it works.
