Default Transmission gearing question VX-DX

Hi everyone.

I'm wondering how easy it is to swap the deferential assembly from a VX transmission to a DX trans. Do I have to shim things or does it drop right into place. My desire is to give the much lower mileage DX transmission longer legs. Any comments appreciated.

Thanks John.

A better forum to search would probably ecomodder.com

Most people just change the entire transmission instead of just swapping pieces.

Ive heard mixed results, I have even heard people getting worse mileage because at 70mph the engine struggles to move anything other than the super light wieght vx alloy wheels in that rpm range. That the z1 engine in lean burn was more suited to that gearing than a standard 16v non e-vtec Honda motor
