Default 2002 Honda Civic SI hatchback new header ?

Yesterday i had Shnuk 2 racing header installed by honda specialized shop . ( not a dealership )
The car runs good when driving , But a sitting at light or down shifting to 1 st gear the rpms drops low . The engine stops . i restart car keep the rpms up car runs fine .
I called the shop , now they say i need Kpro and dyno . at large cost . I ask them why did you not tell me this first , I would not did this upgrade . He thought it would work .
This shop is 2 hours away . I called talk to local shop . They said get reflash ,
Hondata show no racing header on there reflash
Will this help getting the reflash ?
My car has K&N intake air . Magnaflow full exhaust . Now racing header
Im not sure where to go from here
Any recommendation
Thank you
Rick

You're halfway there, so might as well go full Kpro and get a complete tune. It should be about $800-1k all totaled. Though I don't think that your engine should be dying after a simple header install; maybe a bit rougher and louder than before, but not too much. If you can get a local shop to give the car a lookover, there may be something else at work.
