Hey guys my name is Alonzo and I have a 88 Honda Crx. I swapped a d16a6 to it and I put the manifold from the old motor which was a d15b2 and yea i know that's dumb but it was my only option.
Anyway so my car idles fine and everything right from cold to operating temperature. When I step on the gas instead of going back to normal idle it stays to were ever I rev it to. For example let's say I rev it to 2.5k it will either stay at that much or go up even higher.
Also another thing is it makes a real loud whistling noise and I check for cracked hoses and the throttle body it all find, is that normal and it sounds like its coming from the iacv. I restarted my computer and I've changed the it and the code went away but it makes that noise.
Any help would be helpful
