i called some part stores all I can give them is it has five sides
I’m cleaning out the iacv. Of course y’all willl day I don’t even hav to take it out that’s just my luck
it's not made this way on accident. it requires a specialty bit because it is supremely difficult to set properly outside of factory conditions/equipment. if it's causing you trouble, you're not likely to fix it by removing this screw.
with that out of the way...
in a large mixing bowl add a cheap file and bench vice. mix carefully while pouring in spare/orphaned hex keys until one works. enjoy responsibly.
I made one at my local smog shop from a piece like the other. The owner asked me why I’m doing that. I replied to clean it out my car doesn’t want to idle. He replied “put a hole it a vacuum line and it will raise the idle” lol what a joker. He then said why don’t you just push out that pin lol I’ll post a pic I think has right tho
Ah, I recall some dude taking his iacv completely apart. Been a while and I don't think it was posted on HT but he was able to do it. I just don't have the time, gotta prioritize other things.
I believe that spring and penta bolt is set as a special penta bolt due to the spring tension being calibrated at factory. Now that you have removed it, it's very unlikely you will be able to obtain the same tension that was set at factory.
