Front Tire Erosion
Dera Honda Friends,
Can you share your technical experience on reason why the inner side of front tires having higher wear out rate than normal ? what mechanical part(s) would be main cause ? can replacement / remedy be carried by DIY?
Thanks for your inputs.

Verify there is no feathering of the tread blocks, this would indicate a toe issue.
Verify that your front camber is 0°. Even -1° will increase tire wear significantly with low tire pressure.
Verify the tire pressures are also correct for your car, If they are low this will also eat the inside front tire tread blocking.
Wheel bearings will cause a bit of scalloping on every other inner tread block. This can be hard to see, but more readily visible after the front tires are rotated to the rear and driven on, then it is visible where the tire is contacting the road(dust/dirt accumulation).
Front wheel bearings are pretty much done by 100K Miles. Less if you drive spirited, or live in an area that has lots of turns(hilly terrain). A simple check would be to loosen the front stub axle nut, and retorque it, if the nut moves farther and the noise of the wheel bearings changes, the bearings are most likely worn.
Most importantly, verify the tire wear on all four tires is even. A static alignment may state that something is right/wrong but the car does not drive in situ, your dynamic alignment can be seen in the tire wear.
