Default Tps help!!

From my understanding im suppose to have an open throttle near 5v and a closed throttle near .5v however,after using a multimeter
.43v = opened throttle
2.53v = closed throltle

is the tps bad?and why does closed seem closer to the 5v and opened seem closer to the .5v

What wires are you probing?

Post a picture of the order of the wires on the TPS connector.

First make sure the TPS is installed correctly.

If fine:

The Grn/Wht wire is ground.

The Yel/Wht is reference voltage (5V).

The middle Red/Blu wire is signal to the ECU.

If you use the Grn/Wht wire as ground, what are the closed and WOT voltage readings on the Red/Blu wire?

If you use the Grn/Wht wire as ground, do you read 5V on the Yel/Wht wire?

Using the grn/wht as ground and yel/wht as 5v i checked the voltage and got 4.98v The tps closed is .43v and WOT 4.05v using the red wire and grn/wht.

Throttle continues to get stuck whenever i slightly give throttle or whenever i press and hold the gas peddle for a second or two. After tapping on the gas peddle the throttle settles back down to idle.

Adjust the TPS to 0.5V when TB plate is closed.

Also clean the TB.
