Hi folk! first time poster. Just got a 2000 prelude unloved starting to fix it up.
I came across this three way switch under drivers dash, and small toggle beside it. Haven't got into chasing the wires yet.
Does anyone have any idea what was done here?
Thx!!
Well I found some more wiring that may put the puzzle together for someone more knowledgeable than me ( read everyone with this car ).
I was putting new gaskets in the VTEC control assembly and pressure switch when I noticed a single white wire not connected to anything terminating, (flapping not connected to anything), about 6inch past the VTEC control. At the other end it runs in with the bundle high on the drivers side through the firewall. It's in split loom, but is cable tied for its run across the back of the valve cover, so looks aftermarket to me.
Is there usually a single wire down past the VTEC solenoid valve connector to some thang? ( it was in the same cable holder that the VTEC solenoid cable uses)???
If there is I don't need to chase it thru the firewall
THX!!
and happy 2019!
Thanks! Seems like a good guess cause there is nothing else that could benefit from a linear switch down there. Picking the condensor fan? The fan turns on the minute I turn on the AC so maybe someone has fixed the issue.
Gonna mark this one probably solved, my DMM is in transit right now but i will check the wire in the eng bay out for Volts and hopefully it's connected to the mystery switch!!
Cheers!
