EF Sedan with D16z6 smokes on 1st start up HELP
Hi Honda tech been a lurker for a while now but finally have a problem i cannot seem to find a solution to online.
I have a 1990 Dx Sedan that i dropped a semi built D16z6 (Rods, pistions, Springs) into and ive run across a few issues. I had some trouble starting the car but i added a ground from the thermostat to the frame and she started right up. Im running a HA Motorsprorts Obd0 MPFI to Obd1 jumper and i convertered the DPFI harness to MPFI myself. There are 2 problems im having. The 1st is that i seem to have high voltage to my TPS sensor which is inhibiting me from properly calibrating it. I Have 4.5v at idle and like 8v WOT. The reference wire is even like 8v. The 2nd issue im having is when i start the car and let it run IT SMOKES BAD. I know a little smoke is normal from assembly as well as i cranked the engine with no plugs in so it probably got some extra oil in places it usually doesn't but doesn't appear to be pure oil either, i did make sure to window all the rings when assembling the engine. It smells of fuel bad so i believe its just running extremely rich, i pulled the plugs and they appear to be a little wet from fuel. The mechanical timing is spot on and i have yet to set the ignition timing with a gun but even when i just move the dizzy back and forth i get no change. Im going to get the ignition timing done today and hope that changes something a little. Im really lost but i think all my troubles are electrical related and i just dont know where yo start diagnostics.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED 😬

its throwing a code 7 and code 9. I havent checked the voltage at the ecu pins ill check that tonight. The wire i believe is red/white. I know i have the correct wires tho i just cant remember the colors. I did a little more looking around and took my exhaust manifold off and there is a bunch of fluid in all for exhaust ports. I believe its fuel mixed with some oil. The does appear to be running extremely rich.
Update i found that my oil was contaminated bad with fuel. As well as there is mixture of oil/fuel sitting on my pistions when i look into my spark plug holes. Would this mean was oil ring as well as running rich?
The car is throwing a code 7 and 9. I will check voltage at the ecu pin and get back to you. I did switch the wires on the tps sensor for the MPFI swap. The wire colors are green/white red/blue and yellow/white.

Blueish white is oil burning, but that doesn't mean that's the issue, and could just be a symptom of something else going on. I'd say start with the mpfi wiring, both codes relate back to that wiring and go from there.
I think im just gonna remake a whole new harness lol im a little unhappy with how long i made some wires etc .
Update.
i decided to make another engine harness and sure enough my high voltage problem was solved and i was able to calibrate my TPS sensor. Not sure what i did wrong on the other one but at this point i really dont care lol. The car is now throwing a code 6 (Engine coolent Temp Sensor) which it could be the plug is worn or frayed because i didnt have the code with the other harness. The car is still smoking bad unfortunately. It seems as though it is still a fuel issue. When i look in the sparkplug holes i can see fuel just chillin on the pistons. I know that the ECTS dictates how much fuel the ECU sends so im going to attempt to fix that code tomorrow. The code 7 and 9 are gone now so atleast i accomplished something 😬
