I broke my timing belt with on 30k on it only,replac it two years ago. The engine bracket behind the timing cover , ( the bolt ) came out. Will that hit the belt or make the engine shift to hit the belt and brake?

 

No loose bolts should be inside the timing cover... they will either get caught between the belt and gears and make the engine jump time or cut/break the timing belt. You can try using an extendable magnet to get the bolt out if you can see it... otherwise, you will have to remove the covers to get it out.

The front engine mount bolt loosens up and back out. Will the threaded end of the bolt hit the belt if it backs out ? This is the bolt that you can get too on the front of the timing cover.

 

If the bolt you are referring to is visible from outside of the timing cover, it will not cause any issues at all with timing if it falls out... assuming you have ALL of the timing covers installed. It MAY cause trouble with the A/C and alternator belt or possibly the P/S belt, but this possible damage is small compared to what a bolt can do inside the timing cover. If it is loosening and backing out on it's own, something is wrong. You should investigate further. Loc-Tite is not normally used for these bolts... so it should be a last resort fix.
