Default 2001 accord tranny question

2001 accord with v6.

related tranny with one from the foreign engine exchange. Anyways, it works great but the hea one has this on it that the old one did not. What is it? See pics. Located on the rear, bottom of tranny, closest to the firewall

Earlier V6s used the VSS(the sensor pointed), later model 00-02 cars use the shaft speed sensors for speedo. It's a sensor your car does not need/use, leave it in place to keep the hole plugged.
