I bought a 1983 Civic 1500DX about 19 years ago. It was my main vehicle at the time. I even rebuilt the carburetor in the vehicle and it started right up afterwards.
Somewhere around 2004 I started letting it sit for long periods. It would always start up even after the 6 year idle period.
I finally got to where I could throw some money at it. It sat at the mechanic's for a year. He said he was not able to find parts for it, so I finally started looking.
Parts all over the internet!!
Fast forward to last month when I was able to get it legal at last.
