Default Metal Valve Stem replacement question

I have a set of Volk RE30’s that are soon due for new tires. I’ve never owned rims with metal valve stems before these. Is it necessary to change out the metal valve stems at every tire change?

I usually always change the rubber valve stems on my old rims because they cost next to nothing, but when I saw that a set of volk valve stem goes for $60+, I cringed.

I’d assume that being metal, they’d be much more durable than rubber ones.

Tires/metal stems have been on the car for 3 years. Vehicle is always garaged

What do you guys usually do?

Default Re: Metal Valve Stem replacement question

You should be able to replace the two rubber o-rings and the schrader valve inside, rather than the entire valvestem.
