Icon5 Are FCS Automotive strut kits a good buy?

Hi and thanks in advance. I'm replacing front struts on my daily driver, roughly 2800 miles per month, used as a delivery vehicle. Will switch to using it as a backup car this spring. Found this kit at JC Whitney and would like your recommendations. I can't work on the car myself, but my (independent) mechanic will install parts for me. Just need safe and reliable, not interested in performance tuning. The kit is $114.50 for both sides and looks like it's complete - shock, strut, mount, boot.

Stock replacements, nothing more. Never heard of them. Monroe's are ok if you want an alternative.

Good price, I have never heard of them. Do you really need new springs, mounts and boots? Or are you avoiding compressing the springs? For about the same money, you could get a pair of name brand KYB GR-2/EXCEL-G shocks. I have them on my VX. Cheap, work good.

OP states he can't work on the car himself.

Nobody mentioned springs.

I would also use the kyb excel g, about $50 each on amazon. The bellows will likely not come with them though.

it would be an easier swap for OP to have it already completed. i think kyb has the same thing too, its been a while. The last time I ever bought kyb gr2's were for my sisters 240sx and it road fine, even better than before.
