the kid drove through a flooded area.why i have not got a clue he says the water was about 18 inches deep when the car stalled so he pushed it back out .a lesson learned .he manged to get it started again ran like crap .he made it home but now cylinders 4 and 5 have 90 lbs compression all the rest have 150 lbs .any thoughts on what could be problem with compression warped valve from all the water and water vapors that most likely got sucked into the cylinders .or am i going wrong direction.any and all help much appreciated

If the engine was hydro locked you could be looking at a couple bent connecting rods.
Perform a leak down test on the cylinders and you should see where the loss of compression is coming from. If it passes the leak down test loss of compression would most likely be due to bent rods.
When you think your engine may have ingested water, do not try to start it without first removing all of the spark plugs and turning it over a few times. This will allow any water that may be inside the cylinders to be forced out. Water is not compressible so something else in the rotating assembly has to give. Usually ends up being the connecting rods.
Hopefully it ends up being a few valves.

An easy way to check for bent connecting rods without doing invasive engine work is to remove all the spark plugs and use a long 1/4" extension as a makeshift depth gauge. Bring each cylinder up to TDC, one at a time, and see how far down the extension will go. Mark it and repeat for each cylinder. If there is a bent connecting rod the extension will go down further into the cylinder because the piston is not coming up as far. Record your results and compare data. If there is ANY deviation between ANY number of cylinders it means there is 99% chance of one or more bent connecting rods.

Make "the kid" pay for it......it was an utterly dumb mistake and the child needs to learn from it. I am no engine man but it looks like a new-to-you engine is in order. At 18 inches of water, it was above the bottom of the doors.
Myself, I once drove through several inches of water in my 1988 Honda Accord manual. It was running water too from an overflowing and fast running creek during a bad flood. Even more stupidly, I had just then driven across a very old wooden bridge that had clearly been topped by the running water during the flood as debris had been left on the road surface. Had the bridge collapsed or my car floated, survival would have been in doubt as the creek was a deep and raging torrent.
Had I lost my car or engine it would have been best for me to pay for it as it was a dumb move. I knew better, but back in those days I was a daredevil and took all sorts of wild chances.

most assurd the kid is paying for it.he learned a lesson on this one .i remember the good ole days when a young kid could have fun with cars .my grand father had a dew acres when we was kids and we always had old beaters to play with.we would make dirt ramps and get them up on 2 wheels aslong as possible and id it rolled over got the tractor and flipped it back over and did it again. what fun that was .
sorry for got to tell i found 1 of them JDM engines for 400 bucks i had them do a compression check it had 210 lbs . all the way across so i think i may have got a good 1. i will know this weekend when i swap them out.

everything appears to be ok i guess the kid climbed out the window so very little water got in car thats amazing by its self .i will be glad when this is over. thanks everyone for your help.
Climbed out the window? So he's both dumb and athletic?
LOL
Ya brother you definitely got lucky there.....make the kid pay for it all, praise him when he has, do the job together, and laugh about it afterwards. We demand pics though so get off your butt and hit us with pics! Put the pics on here and turn a loss into a victory.
