Default Removing A Pillar for dash cam wiring

Hi there,

I got a blackvue dash cam to install in my 2013 Accord EX (4 door). I need to hide the wiring behind the airbag setup under A Pillar. Is there any sort of guidance available how to remove the A trim safely and reattach it back ? A video guide would be great.

Thanks

On Hondas, I've been able to route and slide wires behind the A-Pillar cover and head liner without taking anything off.

Thanks @tech8 So you basically tucked in the wire between the pillar and the headliner. With this approach you are basically wrapping the wiring across the airbag area, which will block the airbag deployment. rite ? With the force of deployment, I am afraid it will cause the wires to be pulled, causing the dashcam to fly and hit the passenger seat.

Do you have any pictures to share?

It unlikely the wire will block any airbag deployment, the wire is relatively loose. The wire, like the A pillar will not impede the airbag deployment. It will probably not make much of a difference installation wise to remove the A pillar to run the wire. Even without any wires, what you attach to the windshield would be at risk to come off when the airbag deploys. -- Do things at your own risk.

I have no pictures, as what I've done are completed projects. You can easily test it by tucking a little bit of wire from a longer strand to see how easy it is.
