Default 96 honda civic radio not working

I just recently bought a 96 honda civic ex and when i got it it had the stock radio in it but it did not have a face so there really wasnt a way to check and see if it actually worked. so i took it out and went to put a JVC in it and its not turning on at all. I checked the fuse behind the JVC radio itself and it is still good. what else can i do?

check to see if you have power at the stock radio harness, +12VDC constant and +12VDC ACC

so how to do i do that? what if that doesn’t work? i checked both of my fuses a 7.5 under the hood which was blown so i put a 10 in and then the fuse box under my dash had a 20 in it when it only needed a 10 but that fuse wasn’t blown.

multimeter

If there's not power on the appropriate wire, you likely have a blown fuse. Avoid putting in larger fuses than suggested.
