B18C1 and B18C5

Default B18C1 and B18C5

Hello all,
I got the Eg9 with B18c engine, but i dun know is it a B18c1 (GSR) or B18c5 (ITR)
are there any marks or component different to know that?

Quick ID would be the intake manifold

yes, the intake manifold has replaced aftermarket one by pre owner,
I find this code 98 05 18 05 PR3-1 in the front on head.
I google the code that tell me that should be a type r engine.

Well technically it just means its a B16 or type R head. The year stamp should be 96-01 for it to be a type R. Looking at the piston and rod code will give you a better idea if the block is actually an ITR.

The water neck is also a dead giveaway. If it's up front, it's a gsr. Or at least a gsr head.

I have disassembled the engine.

its come with the P73 piston with p72 connecting rod, and i think that is not the ITR crankshaft.
