What do you think of this fuel line video?
What do you guys think of this video on quick connects and nylon fuel line?
It's tempting to go for the nylon fuel line approach and I may do so.
On the other hand, if I cut back my existing steel line like in this video, could I bubble flare the ends and use copper-nickel line with rubber hose held on with hose clamps?
Just curious.

I have not watched the whole thing as I am watching a led zep concert right now, but, I watch this channel a lot for fun (keeps MY hands clean) and also helps me keep my brain limber (we seem to come to the same conclusions). He knows his stuff and does things right, so, whatever he does in the video I would trust, however............ If your working on a preassure line, I would stay with steel and flairs, just like the brake lines if at all possible. You need special tools (before i would trust the fittings) for polyester/plastic lines to "do it right" in my opinion. Only on return lines would I use hose and clamps. Even then, you need to use "fuel injection" hose. You "could" use it on the high preassure side in a pinch, but, like I said, if you have the options, go for the gold!
So an electric fuel pump has a lot more pressure than a mechanical pump?
My Chevy truck's pump is mechanical, I have been told it has "very low pressure." Anyway, I will try to get under the car tomorrow and have a look at the lines to see how much of a headache I am in for. Whatever I decide to do, I will seek input here and strive to do the job better than it need be done.

carbed trucks use around 3lb-5lb. Any more and you blow the needle off the seat.
I would not worry about doing it better. How long you plan to keep the car? I am sure you will sell it or ot falls apart before any basic repairs fail. Heck, even if it was a full 100%advancedautoparts car, lol.

I strive to do things the best that I can or at least, "better than needed."
My plan was to put 250K on her but that may change. After getting under her today the rust looks more extensive than I expected. I did not get around to inspecting the lines but hope to tomorrow.
